Critical Notes

1. Error Control

  • Fill volume deviation:

    ±10% error → ESR deviation up to 30% (Must fill exactly to the mark!).

  • Time sensitivity:

    Test >4h post-collection → RBC morphology alters → Falsely ↓ESR.
